Kathryn has a wide variety of experience advising both lenders and borrowers on general corporate lending and finance transactions including real-estate and acquisition finance.
Prior to joining Birketts in 2020, Kathryn was an Associate at a London-based global law firm, where she acted for both borrowers and lenders in the UK and internationally on financing and refinancing transactions, including drafting and negotiating loan agreements and security packages. Kathryn also has experience of acting for clients on asset financing transactions, specifically in the maritime sector.
Key clients include high street banks, alternative lenders as well as both corporate and individual borrowers.

Advised an AIM listed company on the refinancing and upsizing of its banking facilities with a new revolving credit facility and accordion option.
£28m revolving credit facility upsize
Advised a leading UK bank on the refinancing and upsizing of banking facilities with an English property investment company including an updated security package.
£55m refinancing
Advised a property development company on the refinancing of its existing developments and providing further financing for the acquisition and development of future sites.
