Kira Sharp

Kira is a solicitor in the Construction and Engineering Team in our Chelmsford office.

Kira joined the team in November 2017 prior to commencing her training contract with the firm in 2021. Kira specialises in contentious construction matters and regularly advises on various building disputes including termination, payment disputes and rectification of building defects and recovery of damages. Kira is especially familiar with JCT standard forms and regularly advises on contractual disputes under amended JCTs and bespoke forms of contract.

Kira is keen to assist clients in reaching early resolutions to their matters and will explore suitable forms of ADR in all matters, being particularly familiar with adjudication as a unique form of dispute resolution in the construction sphere. Kira has also frequently advised clients issuing and defending claims in the Technology and Construction court, including in relation to adjudication enforcement proceedings.

Kira also spent a year completing training seats with the Commercial Property and Public Sector teams, working primarily on local authority property transactions. Kira continues to work with public sector clients in relation to their building disputes and is familiar with the unique needs and pace of local authority instructions.
