Lucy Churchill is a Legal Director in the employment team and is based in our Norwich office.
She primarily acts for clients in the consumer, technology, energy and infrastructure sectors. She appreciates the challenges faced by clients, having spent three occasions working directly in business with her clients, including acting as employment counsel for a leading UK bank and international renowned technology business, providing advice and support on UK employment law matters.
Lucy has extensive experience handling employment tribunal litigation for employers, having worked on many complex, multi-day claims involving unfair dismissal, discrimination, whistleblowing, breach of contract and unlawful deductions from wages.
Recent work highlights
- Advising an overseas client on the UK employment law implications of establishing an operating a business in the UK, including Working Time Regulations, National Minimum Wage, employment documentation and commercial risk.
- Providing advice on how the request should be dealt with and addressing any risks of refusing from a UK employment law perspective, alongside identifying the myriad of issues which an international remote working arrangement can pose for an employer.
- Advising an employer in the energy and infrastructure sector on a group wide redundancy exercise, entailing guidance on project planning and the preparation of key documentation.
