Matthew joined Birketts in 2022 and is a Senior Associate in our Corporate Team based in London.
Matthew has previous relevant legal experience in both the UK and parts of Southeast Asia. In the UK, he worked as a corporate associate focusing predominantly on private company M&A, private equity, and joint ventures. In Southeast Asia, he acted as in-house legal counsel for a group of companies which provided fund management and investment advisory services to funds which invested in listed securities and private equity opportunities in South-east Asia, and he advised on the acquisition and structuring of companies and group of companies in certain jurisdictions in Southeast Asia.
He qualified as a Solicitor in September 2006.
Outside of the office, Matthew’s interests include fishing, horseracing, football, philosophy and good pubs.
