Megan studied Law at the University of Chester graduating with a 2:1 LLB (Hons) Law Degree in 2014 where she gained knowledge in a number of fields.

Megan started her career prior to leaving University by working as a volunteer within a small local law firm in their Property Department before joining another law firm in 2015 as an Assistant in the Commercial Property Department and soon moved to the Plot Sales Department as a Conveyancer before joining Birketts as a Paralegal in the Residential Development Team in October 2019. 

Megan deals with high volume conveyancing work managing the day to day progression of all matters and progressing the same from reservation to completion for numerous developer clients. Megan is involved with all aspects of the conveyancing process including drafting initial reservation paperwork, dealing with buyers Solicitors detailed enquiries, progressing the matters through to exchange of contracts, and dealing with completion and post-completion matters. Megan has experience in dealing with both open market developments and those which contain plots being sold on a shared ownership basis working with both private developers and housing associations. Megan also deals with developer clients purchasing commercial office spaces for conversion into residential accommodation and progresses these sales through to completion. Megan works with numerous clients on part-exchange and re-sale transactions with them purchasing previously sold properties before re-selling to new purchasers and seeing these matters through from the offer stage to completion of the transaction. Megan is also involved in assisting with the drafting of site set up documentation together with negotiating infrastructure agreements. Megan frequently liaises with the Land Registry in order to obtain plan and documentation approval of developments and to remove restrictions from developments where necessary. 

Megan is based in our Norwich office.

In her spare time, Megan is a qualified International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA) dance teacher and enjoys teaching at numerous dance schools in the area as well as being a competitive cheerleader at the Brave Allstars programme – this will be her ninth year competing nationwide. Megan also enjoys singing and playing the piano and has been performing in Musical Theatre productions from the age of six.
