
Millie is a Trainee Solicitor currently in her third seat, sitting with the regulatory and corporate defence team in Norwich.
Millie assists the team with a wide range of regulatory matters, both defence and prosecution. She assists in areas including: corporate and regulatory crime, health and safety, environmental crime, fatality and serious injury work, financial crime, license applications, public inquiry and inquests, building and fire safety, general crime (Magistrates or Crown Court), transport and logistics. Millie spends a lot of time attending Courts and aiding with the drafting of advice notes for clients.
She started Birketts as a Trainee Solicitor in 2024; completing her first seat in real estate finance, where she represented lenders and managed secured lending transactions, including the refinance or purchase of commercial, semi-commercial or buy-to-let properties. Millie’s second seat was in the litigation and dispute resolution team assisting and advising individual and corporate clients on a variety of litigation matters, including contractual and commercial disputes, insolvency proceedings, and debt recovery claims.
Prior to joining Birketts, Millie studied Law at the University of York. Since then, she has been undertaking the LPC at the University of Law to qualify as a Solicitor in 2026.
Millie previously volunteered with Restorative Solutions in North Yorkshire; a community, police and Ministry of Justice partnership helping with justice and delivering positive outcomes to those responsible for and harmed by crime.
