Millie Smith

Millie joined Birketts in September 2024 as a Trainee Solicitor and is currently undertaking her fourth seat with the planning and environmental team in Cambridge.

Millie previously spent a seat with the real estate finance team, where she represented lenders and managed secured lending transactions. Her second seat was in the litigation and dispute resolution team, where she assisted with advising corporate clients on a range of matters, including contractual and commercial disputes, insolvency proceedings and debt recovery claims. Millie then joined the regulatory and corporate defence team, supporting them with a wide range of regulatory work on both defence and prosecution matters.

Prior to joining Birketts, Millie studied Law at the University of York. Since then, she has been undertaking the LPC at the University of Law to qualify as a solicitor in 2026.

Millie previously volunteered at Restorative Solutions; a community, police and Ministry of Justice partnership helping with justice and delivering positive outcomes to those responsible and harmed by crime.
