Olivia Adams

Olivia is currently in her fourth, and final seat in the Employment Team in Chelmsford.

Olivia joined Birketts as a Trainee Solicitor in September 2023 and is due to qualify this September 2025.

Olivia spent her third seat in the Family Team in Ipswich where she was involved in matters relating to divorce, finances, children and modern families. During her time with family, Olivia gained great exposure to the family courts and a real understanding of the value of NCDR processes such as mediation, arbitration and collaborative practice in resolving disputes outside of court.

Olivia previously completed a seat in the Agriculture and Estates Team in Chelmsford where she assisted the team with the sale and purchase of agricultural property, option agreements, renewable energy developments and agricultural leases.

Olivia’s first seat was with the Public Sector Team in Chelmsford. During this seat Olivia was involved in preparing training for councils on public powers and advice on subsidy control, public procurement, commercial contracts and housing regeneration.

Alongside her seats Olivia takes part in pro bono work and volunteers for the Suffolk Law Centre, assisting members of the public by providing free legal advice within a variety of different areas. Prior to joining Birketts, Olivia studied Law and Sociology at the University of Kent and was awarded a first-class. Olivia then immediately went on to study the LLM Legal Practice (SQE 1 & 2) with the University of Law in Moorgate, London. Olivia completed and thoroughly enjoyed studying her electives in Intellectual Property, Advanced Dispute Resolution, Employment Law and Family Law.

Law and Sociology degree from the University of Kent. Achieved first class honours.
