Olivia joined Birketts as a Trainee Solicitor in September 2023. Olivia is currently in her third seat in the Family Team in Ipswich primarily getting involved in matters relating to divorce and the financial and child related disputes that arise.
Olivia previously completed a seat in the Agriculture and Estates Team in Chelmsford. Olivia assisted the team with the sale and purchase of agricultural property, option agreements, renewable energy developments and agricultural leases.
Olivia also completed a seat in the Public Sector Team in Chelmsford which involved preparing training for councils on public powers as well as advising on subsidy control, public procurement, commercial contracts and housing regeneration.
Alongside her seats Olivia takes part in pro bono work and volunteers for the Suffolk Law Centre, assisting members of the public by providing free legal advice within a variety of different areas. Prior to joining Birketts, Olivia studied Law and Sociology at the University of Kent and was awarded a first-class. Olivia then immediately went on to study the LLM Legal Practice (SQE 1 & 2) with the University of Law in Moorgate, London. Olivia completed and thoroughly enjoyed studying her electives in Intellectual Property, Advanced Dispute Resolution, Employment Law and Family Law.
