Sarah qualified in September 2010, having trained with the firm.
She specialises in all aspects of contentious shipping and international trade work with a particular interest in charterparty disputes such as underperformance claims, off-hire disputes, laytime and demurrage disputes and claims relating to charterers’ orders. Sarah has particular expertise in disputes concerning tankers / liquid cargoes and issues relating to bunkers. Sarah has also handled a variety of disputes relating to cargo, both on behalf of cargo interests and carriers. Clients that she acts for include shipowners, charterers, P&I clubs, cargo insurers, traders and freight forwarders.
Sarah has been involved in a number of high value and complex disputes, and has dealt with High Court hearings, arbitration proceedings under the London Maritime Arbitrators Association and Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre rules and mediations. She has attended arbitrations in London and Hong Kong.
Sarah is a graduate of Birmingham University where she studied Law with German.
