Tess Bryson

Tess joined Birketts in September 2023 as a Trainee Solicitor and is currently undertaking her third seat with the Corporate Tax Team.

Tess supports the team with the tax ramifications of employment situations, property transactions, and corporate acquisitions.

Tess’ second seat was in the Banking and Finance Team, advising both lenders and borrowers in all aspects of general corporate lending and real estate finance transactions.

In her first seat, Tess assisted the International Private Client Team in advising on tax residence, domicile, and cross-jurisdictional succession advice. In addition, she drafted Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorneys, Declarations of Trust and associated documents.

Prior to joining Birketts, Tess studied English Literature (with a placement year) at the University of Newcastle. Since then, she has achieved Distinctions in the SQE1 and the SQE2 exams. In her LLM, she elected to focus on the key practice areas of Employment, Intellectual Property, Commercial and International Trade, and Mergers and Acquisitions.
