Thomas Young

Tom joined Birketts in September 2021 as a Trainee Solicitor and qualified in June 2023.

He is a Solicitor in our Private Client Team and is based in our Cambridge office.

Tom assists with advising individuals and their families in the preparation of Wills and lasting powers of attorney, succession and tax planning, trust work and the administration of estates.

During his training contract, Tom also gained experience in the Commercial Property Team, Commercial & Technology Team and Employment Team.

Prior to joining Birketts, Tom graduated from Northumbria University with Upper Second Class Honours in Law with Business (LL.B). After university, Tom spent three years working as a Senior Paralegal in the Risk and Compliance department at a regional law firm in Cambridge. During this time, Tom studied the Legal Practice Course at BPP University in Cambridge and completed electives in Commercial Law and Intellectual Property, Employment Law and Private Client.
