Transitioning to net zero
Key topics: carbon emissions and clean energy; climate change.
We are committed to setting a verified science-based net zero target. While we have further to go on our journey, we have made significant strides in understanding our full carbon footprint, updating our KPIs and strategy, and outlining our plan to reduce emissions as quickly as possible.
Our commitment to continuous improvement includes engaging and supporting our colleagues in our collective effort. Our environmental initiatives are structured around KPIs, a steering committee, and an environmental champions network.
We have halved our paper use and aim to reduce it further. We have introduced a low-carbon menu in our canteen, re-used or donated furniture during a recent office refurbishment, and are exploring energy efficiency opportunities at our offices.
Our waste program has expanded, significantly increasing the types of waste we recycle. We procure only fully renewable electricity and have transitioned to electric vans for operations between our offices.
Like many firms, our largest emissions come from our supply chain. We face the same challenges as other legal sector firms and have actively started collaborating with our peers to address these areas.
We acknowledge that we are not perfect, but we are committed to continuous improvement and striving to elevate our sustainability efforts for the sake of our future.
