The firm has a substantial Corporate Finance practice and routinely acts for clients engaged in acquisitions and financing that involves dealing with the banking sector.
We also have a significant corporate insolvency practice that deals with banking issues that arise out of corporate insolvencies. The contentious issues that arise from these matters are handled by lawyers in our Litigation and Dispute Resolution Group. Contentious tax matters are usually dealt with in the first instance by our clients’ tax advisers but we undertake appeals from the decisions of general and special commissioners. We also advise and act on disputes arising from tax indemnities given in corporate transactions.
