When do applications open/ close?

Vacation Scheme Applications open Wednesday 6 November 2023 and close Monday 8 January 2024.

Training Contract Applications open 1 February 2024 and close 4 June 2024.

Do you offer work experience?

No. We do not offer work experience outside of the Birketts vacation scheme.

Do you have a minimum academic requirement?

Yes. We ask for a minimum of 120 UCAS points and a 2.1 degree. However, we are happy to consider your applications and we do have a space for mitigating circumstances on our application form. Please contact our graduate recruitment and development manager if you have any questions.

Do you consider non-law or mature graduates?

Yes, we welcome applications from candidates from all backgrounds.

Do you provide sponsorship for SQE?

Yes. We provide full sponsorship of the SQE LLM through our chosen provider, University of Law. This includes sponsorship of the preparation courses and exams. You will be able to complete the course at your preferred campus location. We also provide funding for SQE Law Essentials where applicable as an alternative to the GDL.

Is there an active social life?

Birketts has a very active social committee. Regular events enable you to get to know everyone in the firm. Highlights of the year include the annual quiz, our sports day and the Christmas Ball. If you’re keen on sports, we also have a number of competitive football, cricket and netball teams.

Will the recruitment process accommodate reasonable adjustments?

Yes. We encourage anyone requiring adjustments to let the graduate recruitment team know so we can implement these for your assessments. All information will be managed confidentially.
