Adam qualified as a Solicitor into our Agriculture and Estates Team in October 2017 and became a Senior Associate in October 2023. He is based in our Sevenoaks office.

Adam deals with a range of agricultural matters while acting for farmers, landowners, agri-businesses, banks and tenants. His experience includes advising on the sale and purchase of farms and rural property; advising on agricultural tenancies; advising on secured lending and finance (acting for both landowners and banks) and advising more widely on general estate management including the registration of land and the grant of easements. Adam also has experience of dealing with more complex land transactions including pre- emption agreements, option agreements and overage agreements. 

Adam also regularly works together with colleagues from other teams (including Corporate, Private Client Advisory and Commercial Property) to assist with agricultural and property aspects of their advice and transactions. 

Prior to joining Birketts, Adam trained at a firm in Kent where he gained experience in a range of matters including residential and commercial property and the administration of estates.

Adam is named as an ‘Associate to Watch’ by Chambers [UK 2024].

Adam studied Law at the University of Kent and the Legal Practice Course at Kaplan Law School in London. He qualified as a Solicitor in October 2017. 

Adam has been awarded fellowship of the Agricultural Law Association, is a Council Member of the Kent County Agricultural Society and regularly attends events in support of the Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust, the CLA and the RABI.

Adam is named as an ‘Associate to Watch’ by Chambers [UK 2024]. Clients in the previous edition said “We have been delighted with the work completed by Adam.” In the an earlier edition, clients noted “he is very professional and helpful.”

Adam studied Law at the University of Kent and the Legal Practice Course at Kaplan Law School in London. He qualified as a solicitor in October 2017. 

Adam has been awarded fellowship of the Agricultural Law Association and regularly attends events hosted by the Essex Agricultural Society and the Game and Wildlife Conservation Trust. 

Outside of work, Adam enjoys shooting and playing golf (to varying levels of success).
