Beatrice O’Mahoney
Beatrice joined the Birketts Property department as a Paralegal in June 2023. Beatrice is part of the Social Housing Team, dealing with a wide variety of their contentious matters, including:
- Defence of housing disrepair claims and claims brought under the Environmental Protection Act
- Assistance of possession and forfeiture claims for ASB, tenancy fraud and other forms of breach of covenant
- Supporting social landlords with Anti-Social Behaviour and access injunctions
- Supporting social landlords in the recovery of rent and service change arrears
Beatrice joined Birketts immediately after completing her History degree at the University of Exeter. Alongside her role as a Social Housing Paralegal, Beatrice is due to begin studying the PGDL part-time with the University of Law. Before joining Birketts, Beatrice had experience in numerous legal firms, working as a Legal Assistant in Sevenoaks high-street firms and as a judicial law clerk with a criminal practice in Exeter. The broad nature of these roles gave her invaluable experience of building valuable client relationships and dealing with complex tasks and cases.
