Daisy is a Senior Associate in the Agriculture and Estates Team and is based in our Chelmsford office. She re-joined Birketts in 2022 after spending some time at a City firm.
Daisy deals with a variety of work within the agricultural sector, acting for rural landowners, tenants, financial institutions and agri-businesses.
Daisy is part of Birketts’ Natural Capital team, working with landowners across the country in the Biodiversity Net Gain (‘BNG’) sector, settling complex lease arrangements which allow for the regeneration of habitats and thereby improving biodiversity.
As well as acting in the BNG sector, Daisy also advises both landlords and tenants in the grant, renewal and variation of agricultural and commercial leases, including those relating to mineral extraction.
Daisy has experience of acting for landowners on a national basis in relation to sales of farmland to government bodies as part of major infrastructure improvement projects.
Daisy has experience in acting in the sale and purchase of large, high value estates for High-Net-Worth clients in often time-pressured situations. She is familiar with working as part of a team with her clients’ advisors and lenders during the process to bring about a satisfactory and speedy conclusion.
An additional aspect of Daisy’s practice is to provide advice and assistance with general estate issues for rural landowners and farmers, including easements and covenants, licences and registration matters. She takes the time to become fully familiar with the nuances of the holding and its history.
Alongside this, Daisy has extensive experience acting for financial institutions and borrowers in agricultural lending matters of all sizes.
