Harrison Barber

Harrison is a Solicitor in the Agriculture and Estates team based in our Chelmsford Office.
Harrison began his career in the Litigation team and has experience in a wide variety of dispute resolution. Having joined the Agriculture and Estates team in December 2022, Harrison now deals with a range of agricultural matters including sale and purchase of farms and rural property; secured lending and finance and agricultural tenancies. Harrison has a particular interest in viticulture (not just for drinking!) and the associated property and agricultural considerations that go hand in hand with growing and producing wine in the UK.
Harrison joined Birketts in September 2019 as a Trainee Solicitor, completing seats with our Commercial Property, Corporate, Commercial Litigation and Employment teams. He qualified as a Solicitor in September 2021.
Prior to joining Birketts Harrison graduated from the University of Nottingham with a First Class degree in Politics. After university Harrison completed the Graduate Diploma in Law with a Commendation at BPP University. Harrison went on to achieve a Distinction in the Masters of Laws Legal Practice, where he completed electives in Advanced Commercial Property, Employment Law and Debt Finance.
Whilst at University, Harrison was a participant in regular debates organised by societies regarding topical political issues and, as a former politics student, he has a keen interest in current affairs.
In his free time Harrison enjoys socialising with friends and family and keeping up to date on international cricket and rugby.
