Imogen Dodd
Imogen qualified as a Solicitor in 2012 and joined Birketts in June 2023. She is a Senior Associate in our Private Client Advisory Team.
Imogen has over 12 years of experience in Private Client matters and has previously advised a broad range of clients including business owners and high net worth individuals. She has frequently acted for families where several generations have needed advice.
She has particular experience in providing advice to individuals and their families on Wills, inheritance tax planning, lifetime gifts, trusts, probate, (administration of estates), deeds of variation and powers of attorney. Imogen has also dealt with several intestate Estates where there were between 90-125 beneficiaries.
Every client’s situation is different and personal to them so Imogen will provide bespoke advice to meet the specific needs of each individual client. Where appropriate, the advice is given alongside that of colleagues in other teams within the firm to ensure complete advice is obtained.
Imogen is experienced in public speaking, having regularly given presentations to NHS employees at their pre-retirement workshops, and other local groups.
Imogen is skilled in working with elderly and vulnerable clients. She has a Dementia Friend accreditation, is a full member of Solicitors for the Elderly and is an affiliate member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.
Imogen is based in our Ipswich office.
Prior to university Imogen worked for one of the UK’s largest workplace pension providers.
Imogen went on to do a Law degree at the University of Warwick and then her Legal Practice Course at the College of Law, attaining a distinction.
After university, Imogen worked for the Department for Work and Pensions in fraud detection. In 2010 Imogen started her training contract with a large regional law firm and worked for them until she moved to Birketts.
