Nicola Heywood

Nicola joined Birketts in January 2018. She is an Associate in our Corporate Team and based in our Norwich office.
Nicola advises clients on a range of corporate matters including acquisitions, disposals and group re-organisations.
Nicola has a particular interest in the care sector and has recently advised on the multimillion pound disposal of a care group to a large international provider, the re-organisation of a care provider group, and the asset disposal of care homes and domiciliary services by a provider and the subsequent winding up of that company.
Nicola also advises on general company law matters including articles of association, shareholder agreements, share issues, transfers and buybacks, director’s duties, and steps required for the winding up of a company.
Nicola studied Law at the University of East Anglia and completed her Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in London. She qualified as a Solicitor in June 2017.
