Paige Stedman

Paige joined Birketts in September 2022 as a Trainee Solicitor and is currently in her third seat in the Employment Team in Chelmsford. Paige assists the team with both contentious and non-contentious matters, helping to advise both individuals and businesses on employment contracts, settlement agreements, corporate restructuring, employment tribunal claims, disciplinary and grievance issues, sickness, redundancy and the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations.

Paige previously completed a seat in Agriculture and Estates Team in Chelmsford, gaining experience with the sale and purchase of properties and farm land, succession planning, partnerships, option agreements, renewable energy developments and trusts. Paige also previously sat in the Private Client Advisory Team which involved the drafting of Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and trust documents, the administration of estates and advising on tax and succession planning.

Paige volunteered with Citizen’s Advice for just over a year before joining Birketts, gaining experience advising people on a wide range of legal matters including housing, consumer, family, debt, benefits, health and probate issues.

Prior to joining Birketts, Paige studied Law at the University of East Anglia, achieving a first in her degree. She then studied the Legal Practice Course with Private Client, Family and Employment Law electives and achieved a distinction in all modules.

In her free time Paige enjoys hobbies such as painting, drawing, embroidery, and crochet as well as staying active and spending time with friends and family.
