Ross deals with a range of agricultural and property matters acting for farmers, landowners, developers, agri-business, charities, banks, landlords and tenants. Ross has particular experience in assisting his clients with:
- Buying and selling land;
- General estate management;
- Registrations of land;
- Overage, Pre-emption and Option agreements;
- Easements and covenants;
- Utilities infrastructure projects;
- Banking work including refinancing, acquisitions, security swaps and bridging finance;
- Probate property transfers; and
- Agricultural tenancies.
Ross also advises both landowners and operators on the development and management of mineral deposits. His experience includes advising on mineral extraction leases, tipping agreements, assignments and other agreements.
Ross has sabbatical experience with Birketts’ Real Estate Finance Team and he continues to work closely with colleagues from other teams in order to provide clients with holistic advice (such as Private Client Advisory, Commercial Property, Property Disputes and Planning and Environmental).
Prior to joining Birketts, Ross trained at a local firm gaining experience in commercial, corporate and residential property law.
Ross studied Law at the University of East Anglia and completed the Legal Practice Course at BPP Law School in Cambridge.
Ross is a member of the Agricultural Law Association.
Outside of work, Ross is a keen fitness enthusiast and enjoys running and cycling with a recent focus on triathlon and has particular interests in technology and travel.
