Vicki Chilton

Vicki joined Birketts in 2014. She is a Partner in the Commercial Real Estate department and leads the Utilities Team. Vicki qualified as a Solicitor in September 2004.
Her team deals with approximately 1,000 freehold and leasehold acquisitions of operational land each year. Vicki also acts on supplemental deeds for the grant of easements, as well as on relocation of operational land including moving substations and easements to reflect the as laid position.
Vicki advises on all aspects of the utilities sector and has worked with network providers of electricity, gas and water.
Vicki has negotiated and successfully completed contracts with the DNOs and other industry documents.
Prior to joining Birketts, Vicki was a Director of PECT Consultancy Ltd, a subsidiary company of Peterborough Environment City Trust. She has considerable experience in the retail, leisure and social housing sectors.
Vicki is recommended and named as a ‘Next Generation Partner’ by Legal 500 [UK 2024].
Vicki is based in our Ipswich office.
