Birketts has once again increased its rankings in some of the legal industry’s most prestigious league tables.
Published online on 4 October 2023, the Legal 500 directory has recognised Birketts as a Top Tier Firm in 37 practice areas, including Corporate and Commercial, Employment, Family, Personal Tax, Trusts and Probate, and Commercial Litigation, up from 35 in last year’s rankings.
Ten individuals have been listed in the ‘Hall of Fame’, a group recognising those who are at the very top of their profession: James Allen (Corporate and Commercial and Banking and Finance), James Austin (Corporate and Commercial), Adrian Possener (Corporate and Commercial), Laurence Weeks (Commercial Litigation and Insolvency and Corporate Recovery), Matthew Atkins (Commercial Litigation), Jack Royall (Agriculture and Estates), Kath Herbert (Commercial Property), Chris Schwer (Commercial Property), Melissa Loucas (Commercial Property), and Deborah Sharples (Planning and Environment).
47 lawyers have been listed in the elite “Leading Individuals” group, 18 have been listed in the “Next Generation Partners” group, and 32 have been included in the “Rising Stars” group. A total of 155 lawyers have been mentioned by name in Legal 500 commentary for their standout contribution to their respective practices.
Birketts has also be ranked 55th in The Lawyer UK200 this year, as well as 46th in the Law.com UK Top 50 law firms list.
