Prior to joining Birketts, Callum graduated with a 2:1 in History from the University of Leicester. Callum subsequently converted to law, obtaining a Commendation in the Graduate Diploma in Law at BPP Waterloo. Callum worked as a Paralegal in the Dispute Resolution team at a regional law firm, before achieving a Distinction in the Legal Practice Course at BPP Cambridge.

During his training contract, Callum volunteered for the Suffolk Law Clinic, where the volunteers provide pro bono advice to individuals in a variety of contexts.
