Oliver joined Birketts in September 2020 as a Trainee Solicitor. 

He is currently in his third seat with the Private Client Advisory Team. Oliver assists the team in advising individuals in relation to wills, succession and tax planning, powers of attorney and the taxation and administration of trusts.

His first seat was with the Agriculture Team, where he gained experience in farming sales and acquisitions. His second seat was in the Banking and Finance Team, where he assisted the team in advising both lenders and borrowers on corporate lending and finance transactions.

Other Information

Prior to joining Birketts Oliver graduated from the University of Manchester with a First Class degree in Law. After university Oliver completed the Legal Practise Course (LPC) at BPP University Cambridge where he received a distinction and completed electives in Private Acquisitions, Advanced Commercial Litigation and Family Law.

Whilst at university Oliver took part in a number of volunteering and pro-bono activities. He volunteered at The University of Manchester Legal Advice Centre, where he was able to offer legal advice to clients under the supervision of qualified solicitors. He also volunteered at the Manchester Civil and Family Courts.

In his free time Oliver enjoys playing football and tennis. He is also a keen cyclist.
