Eleanor joined Birketts in September 2020 as a Trainee Solicitor. 

Eleanor is in her second seat in the Public Sector Team and is currently based in our Chelmsford office. Eleanor assists the team with freedom of information requests, data protection issues, subsidy control and public procurement as well as drafting public sector contracts for local authority clients. 

Eleanor’s first seat was with our Corporate Team. Eleanor assisted the team with company mergers and demergers, acquisitions and disposals, private equity transactions, joint ventures, corporate finance and banking transactions. 

Prior to joining Birketts, Eleanor graduated from the University of Birmingham with a First Class degree in Law. Eleanor then achieved Distinction in the Legal Practice Course at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge. She completed electives in Commercial Dispute Resolution, Employment Law and Family Law. 

Other Information

Outside of work, Eleanor enjoys fundraising and volunteering. Whilst at university, Eleanor co-chaired a society supporting vulnerable adults with a variety of intellectual disabilities and other special needs. In August 2022, Eleanor is climbing Kilimanjaro with a group of friends in aid of Huntingdon’s Disease Association. 

Eleanor also enjoys socialising with friends and family, staying active and attending music events.
