Amy qualified as a Solicitor in September 2006. She joined Birketts in 2016 and is a Senior Associate in our Employment Team.
Amy has almost 15 years of experience of advising a wide range of clients including large national businesses, charities, local employers of all sizes, local authorities and senior executives.
Amy is experienced in advising on large scale collective redundancy exercises, reorganisations and the TUPE implications of outsourcings, acquisitions and disposals including transfers on a national and international scale. She is also experienced in dealing with issues on the termination of employment including dealing with the removal of directors and senior executives, settlement agreements and employment tribunal claims.
Amy provides her clients with day to day advice on all employment law issues such as employee grievances, disciplinary matters, performance management, managing sickness absence and changing terms and conditions. Amy is also experienced in handling subject access requests.
Amy has experience in drafting a range of company documentation and policies. She also has experience in running volume/bulk settlement agreement projects.
Amy has provided training on a range of topics including TUPE, redundancies, investigations, performance management and handling disciplinaries and grievances.
Amy has a particular interest in cross jurisdictional matters/issues arising from the employment relation.
Amy is based at our Ipswich office.
