Chloe joined Birketts in September 2012. Having spent time in Commercial Property, and Property Litigation, she qualified into the Planning and Environment Team in March 2014. Chloe is based in our Ipswich office.

Chloe has over ten years of planning experience, having previously worked as a planner at a District Council and a London Borough and she has a Masters in Town Planning.

Chloe assists in all aspects of town and country planning law and has gained experience in acting for commercial developers, registered providers, local authorities and private clients in respect of the application process, section 106 obligations, planning appeals and judicial review proceedings.  Chloe has particular expertise in contentious planning including enforcement matters and has experience and an interest in the law relating to listed buildings and other heritage assets. Chloe advises on CPO and the DCO consenting process.

Having gained her Masters in Town Planning Chloe completed both her Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Course (with distinction) at BPP in London.

Chloe has carried out pro-bono work with the Ipswich and Suffolk Council for Racial Equality providing legal advice on a range of issues at their Law Centre. 

Chloe is recommended and named as a ‘Rising Star’ by Legal 500 [UK 2024]. Clients in an earlier edition described Chloe as “very efficient and fun to work with”.
