  • Contentious property management matters – where James acts for a number of institutional clients with large property holdings, advising on contentious issues arising on their portfolios, often including commercial lease termination, dilapidations.
  • Residential long leasehold matters – where James acts for both freeholders and leaseholders on a wide range of issues such as service charge disputes, breach of lease covenants, right to manage (RTM) claims, and contested lease extension / enfranchisement claims.

James has also trained and qualified as a solicitor-advocate and holds rights of audience in the Higher Courts of England and Wales. He continues to develop his advocacy skills by regularly representing clients in the County Court.
