Experience

Katie qualified as a solicitor in 2007 and joined Birketts in February 2019 as a Senior Associate in our Private Client Advisory Team.

Katie specialises in a wide range of private client advisory work including tax and succession planning for high net worth individuals and their families. This often includes advice around wealth protection and multi-generational planning. Katie also advises on the creation, and administration of trusts, wills and powers of attorney as well as the tax treatment of foreign wealth holding structures in the UK for those individuals associated with them. 

Katie has particular expertise in offshore and cross-border work, including tax planning for internationally mobile individuals with a footprint in the UK, and has extensive experience in acting for a range of international private clients and the intermediaries who work alongside them, including banks, trust companies and corporate service providers.  

Katie is based in our Ipswich office.

Other Information

Katie graduated in English Literature at Bristol University before studying law at Nottingham Law School. Katie trained and practised at two top ranked private client teams in London prior to joining Birketts.

Katie is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.
