Emma studied law at the University of East Anglia, where she was awarded the Sweet & Maxwell Prize for attaining the joint highest mark in her first year. She graduated with a first class degree in 2016 and went on to complete the Legal Practice Course at BPP Law School in Cambridge, achieving a distinction.
Emma has been involved with Buckenham House Group Riding for the Disabled for around 12 years and she is currently a trustee of the Wymondham College Parent Staff Association. Since joining Birketts in 2017, Emma has been involved with The Benjamin Foundation’s Sleep Out and Stay Awake fundraising events.
This year Emma is a Norwich office lead for Birketts’ 2021 fundraising partnership with East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices. Earlier in the year, she helped to organise a virtual auction and more recently Emma completed the charity’s Pier to Pier Challenge, a 32 mile multi-terrain trek from Great Yarmouth to Cromer, alongside 10 colleagues.
Emma is also a member of the Norwich office grants panel for The Birketts Fund, administered by the Norfolk Community Foundation. The fund’s charitable giving is focused on providing support to voluntary and community groups in Norfolk.
