Experience

Greg joined Birketts as a Trainee in September 2011 and qualified into our Commercial Property Team in September 2013.

Greg has experience in most areas of property law including landlord and tenant (including acting on the grant of leases, surrenders and assignments), property and development finance (carrying out due diligence for borrowers and banking clients), portfolio acquisitions, commercial and residential development and strategic land (acting on option agreements, acquisitions and developments for regional and national developer clients and sales to developers). Greg has also developed an expertise in surplus property disposal work.

Greg studied law at the University of Dundee, graduating in 2007. He then undertook a master’s degree in International Law, focusing particularly on international contractual law and regulation. He completed the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in York.

Greg is based in our Norwich office.

Prior to joining Birketts, Greg worked as an English teacher in the Far East, in the marketing department of a major retailer and in the compliance department of a global financial services company. He also studied Arabic in Yemen, went backpacking across the Middle East and undertook voluntary work with animals in Sri Lanka and children in Jerusalem.

Greg's interests outside of work include eating out with family and friends and travelling to new destinations.
