Experience

Jack joined Birketts in July 2019 as a Paralegal in the Corporate Team in our Norwich office. He assists with the facilitation of a range of banking transactions and secured lending matters. This involves the drafting, negotiation and completion of security and facility documents, as well as on-going project management between lenders and borrowers to ensure that transactions are completed in a timely manner.  

Prior to joining Birketts Jack worked as an account manager in a company providing expatriate payroll, HR and compliance services, mainly to clients in the energy and oil sector. This involved setup and on-going service of payrolls for clients with employees posted in a wide range of countries, encompassing facilitation of payroll, taxation, disbursals and local compliance.

Jack also has experience as a mortgage processor where he assisted with the assessment of mortgage applications and production of mortgage documents. He has also worked as a customer service advisor within a retail banking service.

Other Information

Jack studied law at the University of Durham and went on to complete his Legal Practice Course at the University of Law in Leeds in 2018.

In his spare time Jack enjoys hiking. He has also volunteered with the Citizens Advice Bureau in Leeds as a telephone assessor, serving as first point of contact for service users on a broad range of issues.
