Leo is a Senior Associate in our Agriculture and Estates Team in Norwich, specialising in farming partnerships and associated inheritance tax planning advice.

Leo advises on a full range of issues affecting farming partnerships, from partnership formation to dissolution, including the drafting or updating of written partnership agreements, the admission and retirement of individual partners and the introduction of freehold and leasehold property onto the partnership balance sheet, working closely with the partnership’s accountants.

Leo also has a wide range of experience in acting for clients on agricultural property transactions, including freehold sales and purchases, mortgages and refinancing of agricultural land (working for both banks and borrowers) and the granting, renewal and variation of both agricultural tenancies and commercial lettings of agricultural buildings.

Leo also gives specific advice on the termination of Agricultural Holdings Act 1986 tenancies, particularly in a development context, and associated compensation rights.

Leo is a member of the Association of Partnership Practitioners and Fellow of the Agricultural Law Association. He is noted as a ‘key lawyer’ in the Legal 500.

Leo qualified as a Solicitor in September 2012.
