Maudie is currently completing her first training seat in the Social Housing Team in Norwich.
Prior to joining Birketts, Maudie gained a first class undergraduate degree in Classics at the University of St Andrews. She then completed a Masters in Forensic Linguistics at Aston University. Her dissertation focused on the language of jury summons documents.
Maudie achieved a distinction in both the Graduate Diploma in Law and the Legal Practice Course, both of which she studied at the University of Law in Birmingham. During the LPC, Maudie completed electives in Advanced Real Estate, Employment Law and Commercial Dispute Resolution. Whilst studying, she volunteered at the Birmingham County Court Personal Support Unit, supporting lay litigants going through the court process.
In the year between finishing her LPC and starting the training contract, Maudie has been working for ACAS as an Early Conciliation Support Officer, being the first point of contact for employees with tribunal claims. Maudie hopes to complete a seat in Employment as she found this interesting work.
