Abi Rudd
Abi joined our Agriculture and Estates Team in August 2021 and is based in our Norwich Office.
Abi has a wealth of experience in property law and joined the team as a specialist in equestrian property.
Abi deals with a wide range of equestrian property matters such as acquisitions and disposals of equestrian facilities (both commercial and private); leases of equestrian property, acting for both tenants and landlords; equestrian property finance, acting for both lenders and borrowers; livery agreements; and grazing licences.
In addition to Abi’s equestrian property specialism, Abi regularly advises clients on a wide range of general property matters including acquisitions and disposals; overage agreements; commercial leases and tenancies; property finance, acting for both lenders and borrowers; licences; easements and covenants; and complex land registration matters.
Recent work highlights
Abi has recently dealt with the acquisition of land to be used as a professional dressage training facility. Following on from the initial purchase, Abi was then instructed to deal with the lease between the land owner and yard manager for the ongoing use of the facilities.
Abi has recently been involved with a project to review and update a leading equine charity’s rehoming agreement. The project included really getting to grips with the client’s practical procedures and working alongside colleagues in Birketts’ commercial contracts team to pull together a document that was fit for purpose, user friendly and fulfilled the charity’s aims to keep horse welfare at the very heart of the agreement.
Experience & education
Qualified as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (FILEX) in 2020.
Successfully obtained further practice rights in 2023 gaining Conveyancing Practitioner status.
Joined Birketts in August 2021.
