
Anastasia qualified as a Solicitor in 2024 and works in the Agriculture and Estates Team. She is based in the Cambridge office.
Anastasia advises on a variety of agricultural land transactions for a range of different clients from private individuals, trusts, partnerships and estates to developers, housebuilders and energy companies as well as other enterprises. Anastasia consults on agricultural tenancies; farm and land acquisitions and disposals; promotion, option and overage agreements; solar and battery storage projects; renewable energy matters; secured lending; succession planning; farming partnership work and general estate management matters.
Anastasia joined Birketts in September 2021 in the Commercial Real Estate Team as a Graduate Solicitor Apprentice. Anastasia completed the Graduate Solicitor Apprenticeship working whilst undertaking SQE1 and SQE2 examinations. This was followed by a Master’s of Law Legal Practice at the University of Law in London where she achieved Merit. She was nominated by the University of Law to deliver the Student Vote of Thanks speech at the graduation ceremony representing the cohort for her significant commitment to her studies and time at the University.
Anastasia draws upon the commercial property knowledge gained during her apprenticeship which includes advising commercial landlords and tenants on commercial leases; the acquisition and disposal of commercial property and commercial property financing.
Experience & education
Prior to joining Birketts, Anastasia graduated from Durham University with an undergraduate degree in Law. She volunteered at the Citizens Advice Bureau and assisted clients with housing, debt and employment issues. Anastasia speaks three foreign languages, French, German and Russian, and has experience of working in all three countries in the respective languages. Anastasia is part of the German desk at Birketts.
