Charlotte qualified as a Solicitor in May 2019, joined Birketts’ Agriculture and Estates Team in February 2022 and was promoted to Associate in September of the same year.
Prior to joining Birketts, Charlotte was involved in both rural and commercial property matters but now focusses on the rural sector since moving to Birketts.
Charlotte has experience in assisting clients with sales and purchases of agricultural land and established farms and is increasingly acting for lenders taking security both as part of a purchase and for refinancing. Regular instructions also relate to deeds of easements; option and overage agreements; and tenancy agreements to name a few. Since joining the firm, her workload has expanded to involve assisting with a number of multi-landowner DCO solar projects by taking a project managing role; reviewing and amending the main transaction documents that are then rolled out to multiple landowners; preparing reports to clients on the documents; and generally having an eye for detail. Most recently, Charlotte is now taking on her own smaller renewable energy projects, specifically solar and battery storage.
