Chloe joined Birketts in December 2018 after qualifying as a Solicitor in September 2018.
Chloe is an Associate in our Litigation and Dispute Resolution Team based in our Norwich office.
Chloe acts for individuals and businesses (whether limited companies, partnerships or sole traders) from various sectors based in East Anglia and beyond. She has experience in advising and acting for clients in relation to a wide variety of disputes including breach of contract and contract interpretation, shareholder disputes (including unfair prejudice petitions and breach of directors’ duties), professional negligence claims, defamation, and complex high-value commercial debt recovery (both in the UK and abroad).
Chloe is also part of our Equine sector group and is well placed to advise on any Equine related disputes.
In addition to this, Chloe has experience acting in franchising disputes. She has experience acting for and advising both franchisors and franchisees in relation to default notices, terminations, post-termination restriction enforcement and misrepresentation claims.
Recent work highlights
Secured favourable outcome within urgent injunctive relief proceedings to secure immediate delivery up of goods being held in breach of contract.
Acted for, and achieved a favourable settlement for a Claimant in a business interruption claim against insurers for losses suffered as a result of Covid-19.
Secured successful outcomes for Claimant client in two preliminary trials concerning (i) incorporation of Terms and Conditions and (ii) insurance coverage.
Defending a claim for alleged livery fees which resulted in the claim being withdrawn and the Defendant receiving a payment towards their costs.
