Emily is an Associate in our Regulatory and Corporate Defence Team, based in Norwich.
Emily’s work includes licensing matters, planning enforcement, private crime (including fraud, perverting the course of justice and driving offences), general regulatory, food and beverage issues, inquests and health and safety.
She has experience of post-incident accident investigations and supports clients in the aftermath of accidents and fatalities – from initial investigation through to trial, if prosecuted. Emily advises companies and their directors on appropriate training and procedures ensuring a proactive, rather than reactive, approach.
Emily’s former three years of qualification were gained in a mid-sized regional firm advising on property litigation and commercial litigation matters including covenant issues, fraud, contractual disputes, debt recovery and enforcement issues. Emily’s civil experience helps her provide substantive and comprehensive advice to clients when navigating dual civil/criminal matters dealt – for instance, statutory nuisance appeals dealt with in the Magistrates Court.
Emily conducts her own advocacy in the Magistrates Court in both her defence and prosecution work.
