James Robinson
James Robinson is a Partner and is Head of our property disputes and telecommunications teams, based in our Ipswich office.
He deals with a wide range of property related disputes. Most of his practice focuses on telecoms, where he specialises in advising developers on major projects and is well known and respected within the industry.
He leads the telecommunications sub-team at Birketts involved in both litigation and transactional work, including the granting of leases, advising on upgrades, site sharing as well as wayleaves for high-speed broadband connections. The team have a vast amount of experience, having advised on hundreds of leases over the years.
James has a diverse client base, acting for local authorities, universities, developers, police and fire authorities and private individuals. He is able to advise on all types of property disputes with more than 20 years’ experience in the sector.

Dealing with the eviction of telecom masts at a central London headquarters building scheduled for demolition.
Acting in relation to a misrepresentation claim involving provision of utility services (or lack thereof) to a prime London property
Advising in relation to numerous telecom cases in the Upper Tribunal (Lands Chamber) and the First Tier Property Tribunal
