Jennifer Faulkner

Jennifer joined the firm in September 2022 as a Trainee Solicitor. She is currently in her fourth seat in the Planning & Environmental Team and is based in the Ipswich office.
Her first seat was in Employee Incentives, part of the wider Corporate Team, where she assisted the team with the implementation of share incentives and Employee Ownership Trusts. Her second seat was in the Planning and Environmental Team where she worked on contentious environmental, planning and rights of way matters. This included environmental permitting, planning enforcement and appeals, statutory nuisance and challenges to modifications of the Definitive Map. Her third seat was in the Agriculture and Estates Team, working on a variety of matters such as land transactions, first registrations of land and natural capital.
Jennifer has a 2:1 in French & German from the University of Cambridge and was part of the first cohort to sit the Solicitor Qualifying Exams (SQE), passing both SQE 1 & 2 in the top quintile.
Jennifer has a background in policy and project management. Prior to joining Birketts, she worked for the National Trust on matters spanning agriculture and the natural and historic environment, and for the European Parliament, Brussels in the field of democracy and human rights.
