Jessica Thurston
Jessica joined Birketts as a Solicitor in November 2023 having previously qualified in February 2021. She works in our Court of Protection Team and is based in both our Norwich and Ipswich offices. Prior to moving to Birketts, Jessica worked with a Panel Deputy of the Court of Protection for a number of years.
Jessica offers advice to clients in relation to Court of Protection applications to include but not limited to applications relating to the appointment of deputies; authorisation of gifts; execution of statutory Wills etc. Jessica also offers services in respect of the drafting and registration of Lasting Powers of Attorney and the registration of Enduring Power of Attorneys; advising appointed Attorneys and Deputies in relation to their roles, powers and obligations; and advising and preparing Personal Injury Trusts including the ongoing management of the same.
Outside of work, Jessica enjoys travelling and dabbling in interior designs having spent the last three years renovating her property. Jessica also enjoys walking her dog and training her two horses with a view to event and is an active member of the firm’s equine sector.
