Lucie joined Birketts’ Agriculture and Estates Team in March 2023 and is based in our Ipswich office.

Lucie studied Law at the University of Greenwich, before completing her Masters in Legal Practice at BPP University Cambridge. Lucie qualified as a Solicitor in 2023.

Lucie undertakes a range of work within the Agriculture and Estates Team, acting for farmers, landowners, tenants and agri-businesses. She works on a breadth of matters relating to rural property acquisitions and disposals; advice on tenancies; financing and refinancing; and more general estate management matters such as registrations of land, covenants and easements.

Prior to joining Birketts, Lucie completed her training contract with another local firm, where she gained experience in a variety of areas including residential property, commercial property and corporate law. Before embarking on her training contract, Lucie dealt with personal injury and package travel claims. The Agriculture and Estates Team work closely with the Private Client AdvisoryProperty Disputes and Planning and Environmental teams which allow fee earners like Lucie to extend services for our agricultural and rural clients who come to the firm with a broad range of instructions. Lucie prides herself on a high standard of service and quality of work for her clients.

Recent work highlights

August 2024: Attained exchange 6 weeks following receipt of draft papers for a high value farm purchase featuring a listed farmhouse and barns, equestrian facilities and existing overage.

August 2024: completed bespoke option agreements relating to pig farming operations in Suffolk, securing long term availability of licenced premises.

July 2024: received the following positive feedback:
