Mark is a partner in the firm’s commercial real estate team based in our Bristol office.
Mark has over 20 years’ experience in high value complex commercial real estate transactions, with a particular emphasis on development, infrastructure and investment projects. Mark’s expertise covers all aspects of landlord and tenant work, portfolio management and the sale and acquisition of freehold and leasehold property. He also has a specific interest in acting for infrastructure owners and developers in the transport and energy sectors.
Recent work highlights
Advised a mayoral development corporation in relation to the disposal of the largest private wire electricity network in the UK at a freeport location that facilitated invest of over £100 million in the network.
Acted for a US healthcare software company on the acquisition and successful promotion of a 90-acre greenbelt site for the development of a new European HQ and technology campus on the edge of Bristol.
Acted for a motorway and forecourt service station operator on all real estate matters across their UK roadside portfolio, which has included advising on the acquisition of land for the development of new motorway service stations, the acquisition of a portfolio of forecourt service stations and the advising on the rollout of EV charging infrastructure across its portfolio.
Advised a high-speed rail operator on the management of its UK property portfolio, which entailed managing their retail and commercial car park portfolios, the disposal of redundant operational land for development and the provision of strategic real estate advice relating to station sites.
Advised a London Borough Authority on the sale of land for a significant mixed use regeneration scheme for a new 785 home community and the development of facilitating transport infrastructure in partnership with a neighbouring local authority.
Experience & education
Mark trained and practised at Womble Bond Dickinson for 17 years before Joining Foot Anstey, where he was made a Partner in 2022.
