Rhianna is a Solicitor specialising in family law, having qualified in September 2025 after completing her training contract at Birketts.
Rhianna has experience advising clients across a broad spectrum of family law issues. She has particular experience in private children law proceedings, including cases involving serious allegations of domestic abuse, parental alienation, and substance misuse. Her work often involves advising and supporting clients in high-conflict disputes and navigating challenging dynamics to safeguard the welfare of children. As well as children matters, Rhianna has experience in dealing with financial issues arising from divorce, including those with businesses and significant pensions. Her advice is tailored to each client’s circumstances, with a focus on securing fair and sustainable financial settlements.
Rhianna is committed to resolving disputes constructively and, where appropriate, encourages the use of Non-Court Dispute Resolution methods such as mediation and solicitor-led negotiation. Where this is not possible, Rhianna has a wide range of experience in Court proceedings including appeals and intensive fact-finding hearings.
Rhianna completed seats in the private client advisory team, private wealth disputes team, SIPPS/SSAS and property litigation and often draws upon her experience during these seats to provide a well-rounded and robust advice to clients.
Rhianna volunteers with Chelmsford Citizens Advice and Suffolk Law Centre, providing legal advice on a pro-bono basis to support local and vulnerable people tackle their legal challenges.
Experience & education
Prior to joining Birketts, Rhianna studied Law at the University of East Anglia achieving a first-class honour in June 2021. She then went on to complete the Solicitors Qualification Examination 1 & 2 and Masters Degree in Professional Legal Practice at the University of Law in Leeds.
