Robert joined Birketts as a Trainee Solicitor in September 2024. He is currently in his fourth seat in the shipping and international trade team in our Ipswich office.
He assists on a variety of contentious matters, acting on behalf of cargo interests, charterers, vessel owners and P&I clubs.
Robert’s third seat was in the corporate team, advising on share acquisitions and disposals, company reorganisations and corporate governance matters. Robert has also a completed a seat in commercial real estate. Acting for a variety of clients, including developers, asset managers and commercial tenants, he assisted on a range of freehold, leasehold and finance transactions.
Prior to joining Birketts, Robert studied Spanish and Philosophy at the University of Edinburgh, graduating with first-class honours. Robert completed a Masters in Law at the University of Law, passing with distinction.
