Sarah Perkins

Sarah qualified as a Solicitor and joined Birketts in September 2014. She is a Senior Associate in our Private Client Advisory Team. Sarah advises individual clients and families on a wide range of private client matters including Wills, Codicils, Succession Planning, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Administration of Estates and Grants of Probate and the Creation and Administration of Trusts.
Sarah advises on a wide range of complex matters and will tailor her advice to meet the specific needs of each individual client. Sarah works closely with her colleagues in the Agricultural Team in relation to partnership and company matters. Sarah has a lot of clients who are farmers, business owners and high net worth individuals and can advise accordingly in relation to Wills and Succession Planning, ensuring that everything works efficiently with current circumstances and company provisions. She is able to advise in relation to claims for Inheritance Tax reliefs on land, property and other assets and has some experience in negotiating successful outcomes with HM Revenue and Customs in relation to large taxable estates.
Sarah has also gained some experience in Court of Protection work and works frequently with the Office of the Public Guardian in order to register Lasting Powers of Attorney and Enduring Powers of Attorney documents.
Sarah is a full member of STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) having passed the Diploma in Trusts and Estates with Distinction.
Sarah is based in our Norwich office.
Sarah completed her Legal Practice Course at Nottingham Law School and her training contract with a leading firm in Peterborough.
Sarah has recently enrolled onto the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners to obtain a Diploma in Trusts and Estates.
Away from work, Sarah takes a keen interest in travel, sports and socialising with friends and is also a keen dressmaker.
