Simona Gruodyte

Simona Gruodyte joined Birketts in September 2018. She is a Senior Associate in our corporate team.

Simona provides advice on matters including the sale, purchase and restructuring of businesses, lending arrangements for companies, compliance with the Companies Act 2006, investment transactions, shareholders’ agreements and equity arrangements for business owners. She also provides independent legal advice to individuals on the terms of personal guarantees, subordination deeds, legal charges and third party security agreements.

Simona also provides advice to startups, scale-ups and investors navigating early stage funding and venture capital transactions.

Simona is fluent in Lithuanian and speaks basic Russian. Simona is based at our Cambridge office.

Recent work highlights

Advised the shareholders of Seed Environmental Ltd and its associated companies on the sale to Celnor Group. Seed Environmental is one of the leading providers of environmental and property incident response, remediation and restoration services for insurance, commercial and public sector clients.

Advised Novastone Capital Advisors GmbH (“Novastone”) on the acquisition of Paul Mathew Transport Limited (“PMTL”) and Paul Mathew Warehousing Limited by Lionfisher Limited, a search fund led by entrepreneur Eyal Kaplan as part of Novastone’s operator-led search fund program. PMTL is a logistics business providing specialist transportation and warehousing services for the theatre and live entertainment industry.

Advised Moonstrike Capital Limited on its acquisition of shares in HSWT Ltd and Wavetree Limited, an established IT support services group operating across the UK.

Advised Pump Supplies Ltd, a leading specialist in electric submersible pump hire, sales and service, on its acquisition of PJT Pumping Services Limited, a Gloucester‑based provider of engineering solutions to the water utilities, civil engineering and environmental sectors.
